my review

If you're looking for a relaxed read that will bring a smile to your face- this is it! I was hooked the moment I started reading and ended up reading the entire volume in one evening— despite it having 316 pages! The story is innocent, fortunately lacking some of the usual toxic BL tropes! Hashimoto complaining about his 'demon boss' which of course is Shirase, while sitting next to him, is hilarious. Shirase takes note of the complaints and tries to be more motivating as a boss, he is also very attentive and picks up on a lot of details, which is nice to see.

It shows the two main characters interacting in their game world a lot, which is very funny. The beginning of their relationship still revolves mostly about the game and their interactions in it but towards the end it was developing a lot more.

I highly recommend Turns Out My Online Friend is My Real-Life Boss! if you need something light and sweet to brighten your day! I pre-ordered volume 2 already  and can't wait for it to arrive.
